Christy Carlson Romano had three siblings, one an older brother and two older sisters. Romano went to live at Atlanta in Georgia as a child and got her first break in acting at the Atlanta production in Annie. Romano’s first debut as a performer took place in the musical Parade in 1997 by Jason Robert Brown. In that particular musical parade, Christy Carlson Romano appeared as Mary Phagan. She was the very first individual to take part in three simultaneous Disney Channel Projects. Besides Christy Carlson Romano ... acted as Cadet Kelly, along with Hillary Duff and did her bit of voice acting in Kim Possible.

In 2002, Romano became the first person to act in three Disney Channel projects simultaneously, complementing her work at Even Stevens with a starring role in a movie named Cadet Kelly (alongside Lizzie McGuire star Hilary Duff) and voice acting as Kim Possible. She is ... the voice of Yuffie Kisaragi in the movie Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, as well as in the Disney/Square Enix Kingdom Hearts video game series. Romano finished a 31 week run of playing Belle in Disney's Beauty and the Beast on Broadway on September 12, 2004. An estimated 400,000 people saw her in this role. For her Beauty run, she recorded a New York radio commercial in which she asked, "What's the sitch?" (from Kim Possible).

Christy Carlson Romano has been working non-stop as an entertainer and actor since the age of six. She has starred on Broadway; appeared in feature films and starred in two Emmy nominated television series, and is nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award, 2005 for Best Performance in an Animated Show for her role of Kim Possible. Christy's latest work includes two starring roles "Campus Confidential" for ABC Family, which will aired late summer 2005, and "The Cutting Edge 2", an MGM film, which is available now on DVD, distributed by New Line Cinema - and showed on ABC Family in March 2006. Christy has ... had recent success in selling three songs that she has written; "Note to Self" was sold to the Mattel Toy Company, for their guitar holding Barbie doll; "Fearless", which will be recorded by a new Sony artist; and "Take Me to Your Leader", which will be featured in an upcoming film titled "Guide to Guys", that will be released direct to DVD. Christy is continuing to work on new songs for her first solo CD release.

Disney Channel favorite Christy Carlson Romano's hit songs are available on one disc with Christy Carlson Romano: Her Greatest Disney Hits. The compilation features two newly recorded tracks - Colors of the Wind from the upcoming Disneymania 3 release and Dive In, written by Matthew Gerrard (Hilary Duff's Why Not). As a bonus, the CD is enhanced with two of Christy's music videos, Teacher's Pet from Disney's Teacher's Pet movie, and Say the Word from the Disney Channel's Kim Possible TV series soundtrack.

Christy Played "Ren" on The Disney Channel original series Even Stevens and she currently voices the character "Kim Possible" in the Disney Series of the same name.
