Christopher Walken Possessing a reptilian charm and famed for his quirky behavior, Christopher Walken is unlike any other star in Hollywood. Born March 31, 1943, and raised in Queens, N.Y., Walken began his career as a catalog model, but later trained hard as a dancer and even worked a short stint as a circus lion tamer.

Sipping tea on a sunny winter morning in West Hollywood, Christopher Walken sees a bird perched on a tree branch in an outdoor patio. The bird, a common little house sparrow seen at any restaurant picking up bread crumbs, interrupts his thoughts.

As a Broadway producer, Whitelaw would go on to give Liza Minnelli and Christopher Walken their breaks. He has worked with Alan Bates, Claire Bloom, Julie Christie and many others. His productions have been nominated or won many industry awards -- from Oscars to Obies, the Off-Broadway theatre awards. He is a Tony Award judge and is in London to oversee the 21st-anniversary revival of "Snoopy! The Musical," which hasn’t been seen in the West End since 1983 when it won an Olivier Award.
Whether it's a bird, a siren or a daydream, Walken has a hard time focusing on the topic at hand - him. It becomes obvious that Walken, one of Hollywood's most outrageous character actors, is a gentle, if eccentric, soul.
