Christmas Songs Christmas is a very special holiday that is always celebrated on December 25 to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ. This holiday is one of the most celebrated holidays throughout the year and many events take place. Xmas Eve, the night before the Christmas is a time when most friends and family will gather to enjoy each other's company, eat, drink and converse. When Christmas morning arrives, it is usually marked by families running to their Xmas trees to open presents. Beginning several weeks or even a month before Christmas, most families who celebrate this holiday will decorate their homes with a xmas tree. Fresh or artificial, the tree is then decorated with an abundance of ornaments, garland and other things such as candy canes.

The Christmas Tree originated in Germany in the 16th century. It was common for the Germanic people to decorate fir trees, both inside and out, with roses, apples, and colored paper. It is believed that Martin Luther, the Protestant reformer, was the first to light a Christmas tree with candles. While coming home one dark winter's night near Christmas, he was struck with the beauty of the starlight shining through the branches of a small fir tree outside his home. He duplicated the starlight by using candles attached to the branches of his indoor Christmas tree. The Christmas tree was not widely used in Britain until the 19th century.

Excerpt from Josiah King's The Examination and Trial of Father Christmas (1686), published shortly after Christmas was reinstated as a holy day in England. Christmas is typically the largest annual economic stimulus for many nations. Sales increase dramatically in almost all retail areas and shops introduce new products as people purchase gifts, decorations, and supplies. In the U.S., the "Christmas shopping season" generally begins on Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, though many American stores begin selling Christmas items as early as October.[42]
A variety of leisure options along the shore enhance the charm of this Christmas symbol even further, which can be visited until January 6. Decorated kiosks serving local cuisine, together with live entertainment, bring together those who seek amusement outdoors in a climate of peace and harmony.
Red and Green are more secular Christmas colors, and may have risen from the use of greenery and popular red Christmas items (like Santa's clothes, berries, bows, etc) during the Christmas season. However, the technical liturgical color is white. This is not to say there is anything wrong with red and green (or any other color you may associate with Christmas), or that you should take down all of your non-white decorations. It is just that in the setting of the worship service, the primary color will be white.
