Ironically, Chloe's discovery of Clark's powers were the result of a completely outside influence: Alicia Baker. In early 2005, Alicia arranged a demonstration in which Chloe witnessed Clark's superspeed and super strength and instantly realized why her friend was so secretive. Chloe's discovery of Clark's powers served to change her own character as well. She began to regret ferreting out meteor freaks. She learned of Clark's other abilities when he was struck with amnesia. For the rest of the school year, Chloe tried to drop obvious hints that she knew the secret, to get Clark to tell her himself, but it wasn't until they were transported to the Arctic and Clark had to speed to save her from hypothermia that Chloe admitted knowing, thinking he was meteor-infected.

Soon... Chloe discovers herself to be meteor-infected after being kidnapped by Lex's men although she has forgotten everything about her abduction. She subsequently reunites with her mother, Moira, who is revealed to have the ability to control meteor-infected people. Lex attempts to exploit Moira to control other meteor freaks and kidnaps Chloe to use as leverage against her. Chloe and Clark are able to relocate her mother to safety. Later, Chloe's power is finally revealed to be healing tears when she revives a dead Lois. However, the powers appear to drain Chloe's own life-force at the same time.

Chloe had a moment of victory... when she defeated a worm Nina Myers put in the CTU computer system, a task which some said would be nearly impossible based on Nina's knowledge of the infected systems. After Ryan Chappelle was targeted by Saunders, Chloe was forced to take over what he was doing and was able to track down the fact that Stephen Saunders had a daughter. She also was responsible for communicating with Jack in the field during the final sting operation to get the virus. She witnessed the death of Stephen Saunders firsthand, as it occurred at her station, perhaps because of changes she made in Gael's widow's escort. She still managed to lead Jack to the middle school where the virus was intended to be released.

If you see such heavenly gold sandals it is hard to believe that a brand like Chloe has it’s origins in six cotton poplin dresses. From this humble cotton dresses, the fashion brand evaluated into a modern fashion label. Currently Chloe is headed by the new Chief Designer, Paulo Melim Andersson, who has now become a part of the Chloé Design legacy.

For the first five seasons, Chloe kissed Clark a single time in each year of the series. That was not true in Season Six, though, when for the first time, Chloe gets a true boyfriend. In Season One, Chloe was hypnotized to do something she had always wanted to do, and in Season Two, she was infected with a parasite that caused her to do wild and impulsive things. In Season Three, Chloe and Clark were caught snooping through medical files and she began kissing him, making it seem like they were simply in the file room for privacy. In Season Four, she was affected by a love potion and became singularly devoted to Clark. She cornered him in his loft, wearing only his football jersey, and Clark had to ward off her advances until he found a cure.

Sophomore year, Chloe and Clark began a habit of acknowledging Chloe's crush but not letting it get in the way of their friendship. After the formal, Chloe made Clark believe that she thought it would be better if they just stayed friends and Clark agreed. However, when Clark discovered that Chloe was still investigating his adoption, they had an intense argument about privacy with Clark eventually making Chloe cry by shouting at her to "find her own mother" instead. They later apologized to each other and Chloe confessed to Clark the pain she feels about being abandoned by her mother. However, when Lana Lang moved in with Chloe, their relationship only became more strained. They managed to make up for a time, and while under the influence of a cave parasite, Chloe became wild and reckless and made out with a red kryptonite-affected Clark.
