The next two songs from Chingy's successful debut album, "Jackpot" were "Holidae Inn" and "One Call Away". Chingy had been lucky enough to work with talents Snoop Dogg, Ludacris and J-Weav on his album. Now a star in his own right, Chingy's fans loved his next album "Powerballin'".

Chingy builds off his strong foundation with PowerBallin', his second stellar album. Recorded primarily in Chingy's home studio, the high-energy collection features top-tier production from The Trak Starz and David Banner, as well as up-and-coming beatmakers Keith McMasters, Vudu and The Beatstaz.

Hoodstar was Chingy's third album. He released it on September 19, 2006. The album featured a star-studded lineup of producers and rappers, such as Mr. Collipark, longtime collaborator Jermaine Dupri, Timbaland, and Mannie Fresh. Numerous guest verses were featured on the album. It features the summer hit single, "Pullin Me Back." The song features Tyrese on the hook and was produced by Jermaine Dupri.

The most distinguishing feature of one-time Ludacris protege Chingy could be that he smiles a lot. The moderately gifted St. Louis rapper has made the most of his boyish good looks, cutting two albums of gimmicky radio rap.

The album is divided into two parts, each highlighting a different side of Chingy's musical style: The "Hood" side is street-smart and crunk-heavy. "These are the hardcore jams," Chingy explains. Songs like "Hands Up" and "Cadillac Door", talk about life in the ghetto in raw and real terms. On the "Star" side, Chingy lightens up the vibe, cranking out high-energy, party anthems like "Brand New Kicks" and "Dem Jeans". Music, that in his words, "gets you so amped you just come out of your shirt."
