The Chevrolet Venture was a minivan produced by General Motors from the 1997 to 2005 model years. It replaced the Chevrolet Lumina APV. Visually identical minivans were ... sold in Europe as the Opel Sintra, and in the UK, they were badged as a Vauxhall. Opel assisted in the development of the minivan as well. During the 2005 model year, the Venture (along with the Astro) was replaced by the similar "new" 2005 Chevrolet Uplander. The Venture (along with other GM minivans) was built in Doraville, Georgia.

The Chevrolet Venture appeared as a ’97 model, replacing the Lumina APV. Powered by a 3.4L V6 engine, the Venture output about 160 hp, not at all bad for a minivan. A few models of the Venture are available including the Chevy Venture Plus, The Venture LS, and the Venture LT. Capable of carrying up to 7 passengers, the Chevrolet Venture is known for comfort and smooth handling. Chevy Venture Amenities include 6 CD changer, power driver/passenger side sliding doors, power windows and mirrors, and programmable door locks. The roomy cabin is nearly silent while the Venture is driving and comfortable seats make long distance travel no problem. Unfortunately, both the Venture and its work oriented cousin the Chevrolet Astro were replaced in 2005 by the new Chevrolet Uplander.

The 2008 Chevrolet Venture offers tons of other features as well, including low step-in height, corrosion-resistant panels, and a rear lift gate for easy access to the trunk.
