Chevrolet Equinox is a unique vehicle with American, Chinese, Japanese and Canadian influences. The design is highly American, but its mechanical components are made in cooperation with a Japanese company, Suzuki. It was assembled in Canada and its 3.4L V-6 210 ft-lb 185-hp engine was made in China. The Equinox is said to be Chevy’s biggest compact crossover SUV, with a wheelbase of 112 inches. There are two models offered: the base LS and the up-scale version LT.

The 2007 Chevrolet Equinox, which is a carryover from 2006, is a 4-door, 5-passenger SUV. The Equinox comes in two styles; the LS and the LT. There 8 available trims ranging from the LS 2WD to the LT3 AWD. Both of the Equinox trims come with a 3.4L, V6, 185-hp engines and a 5-speed automatic transmission with overdrive.

The Chevrolet Equinox gains two new trim levels to spice things up in 2008: a fully loaded LTZ and the racier Sport with 264 horsepower and a sport-tuned suspension.
