Inside the car, with seating for five and more interior space than Toyota Corolla or Dodge Neon, the 2008 Chevrolet Cavalier was born ready for a road trip. Paired with a premium sound system and available XM Satellite Radio, it's bound to give your friends something to talk about. The car offers cloth bucket seats, a rear defogger, rear-seat heat ducts and remote keyless entry. Some models ... boast power windows, cruise control, and a tilt-wheel steering column. The Chevrolet Cavalier was Chevy’s compact car entry for over 20 years. Originally designed to compete with imports like the Honda accord, the Chevy Cavalier became one of the most popular American produced compact vehicles. In the 2000’s the Cavalier was one of GM’s top selling cars, having sold over 5,000,000 cars by 1999. The Cavalier was released in 1981, built on GM’s J-body front wheel drive platform. Its success was due in part to its low price tag, good gas mileage, and sporty styling. The Chevrolet Cavalier featured three generations of revisions each with different trim models.

Chevrolet Cavalier has a nice interior design and the interior materials appear to be of decent quality. A hood over the instruments sweeps organically over to the passenger side giving it a contemporary appearance. The thick, contoured steering wheel in the LS Sport Sedan feels good. Power window switches are located on the center console... harder to find and more awkward to operate than when they're on the door. The driver's window has an Auto-Down feature.

Chevrolet Cavalier dealers, Chevy experts, and current owners all agree, an automobile's heart is its engine, and at the heart of every 2008 Chevrolet Cavalier is a 140-horsepower, 2.2-liter ECOTEC engine. This new standard power source keeps vibration and noise under wraps. Elements like the alternator, air conditioning compressor and the power steering pump are directly mounted without brackets. Chain-driven, twin balance shafts are placed in the block. In terms of performance, the car's shocks were even re-valved for improved ride. Every Cavalier is designed to be driven up to 100,000 miles before your first scheduled spark plug replacement.

The Chevrolet Cavalier offers value. Ride and handling are surprisingly good, improved over pre-2003 models. Watch for incentives as dealers sell down the 2004 models in preparation for the launch of an all-new compact for the 2005 model year.
