The next largest tattoo Cher has is a flowing necklace done on her left upper arm. The necklace has three charms hanging on it: an Egyptian ankh, a cross and a heart. This tattoo was supposedly done by Jill Jordan, another Los Angeles tattoo artist.

In 1978 with no formal training, Cher began transferring her memories to canvas. It was a significant factor in healing her grief over the loss of her mom. Her early works are depictions of church gatherings, warm holidays, festive celebrations and the everyday chores of life on a rural farm. They are idyllic and flavored by the innocence of youth. Cher's work developed and began a departure from these traditional folk art scenes into true fantasy interpretations. Electric color with smooth graceful lines evolved.

Ever fearless, Bono launched Cher in films, spending his own cash when studio financing dried up. But their movies, Good Times and Chastity, weren't hits and the duo lost the wealth they earned as pop stars. Now ... in deep debt to the IRS, and struggling to support daughter Chastity born in 1969, they hit the lounge circuit. Spruced up in evening wear, they sang safe middle-of-the-road covers for the parents of their former fans - quite a humiliation after the huge arenas they once filled.
The rest of the show carried on much the same with Cher changing into everything from baggy, reflective P.J's for the new millennium, to a long sequined Spanish gown to multi-layered bell-bottoms and long, red angel-hair pasta locks. Although her toned figure looked unbelievably great for a woman of 53 her facial features looked almost too perfect, as if all her plastic "touch-ups" through the years left her looking a little unnaturally airbrushed. When she performed her two biggest hits of the '90's "If I Could Turn Back Time" and "Believe" it didn't seem to matter to her fans that they were lackluster and shallow, after all you don't go to the circus for the music.
LOS ANGELES — Come October, the highest bidder can sleep in Cher's bed. It's one of 700 items from the superstar's Malibu home that will be auctioned beginning Oct. 3. The sale includes furniture, artwork, jewelry, a 2003 H2 Hummer and original costumes by Bob Mackie.
