During the early 2000s, Keys made small cameos in such television series as Charmed and American Dreams. In early October 2006, she played the voice of Mommy Martian in the "Mission to Mars" episode of the children's television series The Backyardigans, in which she sang the song "Almost Everything Is Boinga Here". Keys guest starred as herself in the "One Man Is an Island" episode of the drama series Cane, first aired on November 6 2007.

According to Variety, it is all-but a done deal that Rose McGowan will sign on to replace Shannen Doherty on the WB supernatural series "Charmed." This fall, new episodes of "Charmed" will ... air on the TNT cable network.

Throughout the series, Finola Hughes appeared as Patty, the deceased mother of the Charmed Ones. Although Patty died in 1978, she sometimes appeared in flashbacks and time-travel episodes that took place in the mid to late 1970s, and other times she appeared as a ghost. However, over the eight years of the series, Finola Hughes aged noticeably. Patty was born in 1950, so she should always have been either a young woman in her mid 20s, or an unaging ghost having died at 28.

Originally, Lori Rom was cast as Phoebe in the unaired pilot of Charmed. When the property was green lighted to go to series, Rom was unavailable. Producer Aaron Spelling called upon Alyssa Milano, fresh off her short-term guest appearance on Melrose Place to fill the role. Major portions of the first episode were re-shot, some scenes rewritten and new scenes added to create a full one-hour debut episode titled "Something Wicca This Way Comes".

The Elders oversee all good magic and were featured throughout the Charmed series. Their attire changed with the seasons and this costume is from seasons 7 and 8.
