Although Chanels' fashions reflection both Indian and Japanese influences, they rarely reflected chicnese influences. Inspired by Misia and José Maria Sert...her aparmtent in the Rue Cambon, antithetical to her fashjio aesthetic in terms of its eclecticism, was lavishly decorated with an impressive section of Coromandel lacquered screens.
