The stages in the first UCFA Champions League was where all seven nations were put in one group, and played a double round robin group stage. The four top nations then reached the semi-final home-away playoffs, where the winners advanced to the Final, which was only one match played at a predetermined stadium, the Stadio Imperator.

Bremen have been hot and cold this season and their Champions League form has been lacking. They've lost both their games so far, including a disappointing performance against Olympiacos at home. A loss against Lazio would make it a monumental task to reach the knockout stages. Meanwhile, Lazio only has two points from two games and will be desperate to gain ground on the other teams in the group. They are ... struggling in Serie A and keeping the ball out of their own net has been a problem on all fronts. They did manage to keep a clean sheet in the last league outing against Livorno, a 1-0 win that took them to 13th place, but they will be missing holding midfielder Cristián Ledesma for the Bremen match.

The second Champions League had a slightly different format. The 16 teams were placed into 4 groups of 4 each, which played a double-round-robin stage. The top two in the group reached the quarter-final-home-away-playoff, where the winners on aggregate reached the semi-final, which was played in the same fashion as the quarter final. The winners on aggregate reached the Final.

The Atlanta Silverbacks Champions League rose from the idea of bringing the best amateur teams in Atlanta together once a year. This year will be the League’s second season and the start to a tradition Atlanta soccer fans can look forward to.

Both Champions League and Real Madrid are synonymous. Real have been the biggest spenders across the Europe this season and all the signings look promising. Even though Klose has been sold, Bremen have enough gunpowder in their arsenal to produce good results. Bremen are extremely strong on home front and even teams like Barca and Chelsea couldnt produce positive result Weserstadion in previous CL. S.S. Lazio had a good season in last year’s Serie A. But they have to work their socks off to win here. Olympiacos are the weak link of this group.
