A former athlete who competed in football, hockey, soccer and volleyball at the high school level, Chad Michael Murray landed in the hospital when he was 15 after getting injured in a football game. While there, a nurse encouraged him to pursue modeling as a career, and by the time he was 17, he?d won a scholarship to attend a modeling convention in Florida, where a Los Angeles agent spotted him and convinced him to move from Buffalo to California. He continued to model while auditioning for acting roles, and a guest-starring role on an episode of the CBS crime series Diagnosis Murder in 2000 launched Murray?s acting career. A year-long stint as Tristan on Gilmore Girls soon followed. He made his feature film debut with a small role in the thriller Megiddo: The Omega Code 2 (2001) starring Michael York, then in October 2001, he joined the cast of the WB long-running teen series Dawson?s Creek in the role of Charlie Todd.

Chad Michael Murray is an actor and model who was born on August 24, 1981 in Buffalo, New York. After having an athletic and performing childhood where he was raised by his father, he was told to pursue a modeling career by a nurse during a stay in the hospital for a football injury. Murray earned a scholarship from a local modeling agency to compete in Orlando where he was noticed by a Los Angeles agent. In L.A., he modelled for Gucci, Tommy Hilfiger, and Sketchers.
