Chad Lowe: Hilary Swank
built 669 days ago
Lowe was born in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Barbara (née Hepler), a teacher, and Chuck Lowe, a lawyer.[1] He was married to actress Hilary Swank between 1997 and 2006. Swank infamously forgot to thank Lowe during her acceptance speech after winning her first Academy Award in 2000 (for Boys Don't Cry), and she spent nearly every public appearance afterward making up for it. Upon winning her second Oscar in 2005 (for Million Dollar Baby), Lowe was the first person she thanked. On January 9, 2006, Lowe and Swank announced their separation, and in May of the same year, they announced their intention to divorce. Lowe is an avid cyclist and idolizes the United Nations. On January 19, 2007, his rep announced that Lowe is dating producer Kim Painter.[2]

Hilary Swank's ex, Chad Lowe, has finally moved on and is said to be dating producer Kim Painter. Chad, 39, and Hilary, 32, announced their plans to split last year after 8 years of marriage and it looks like they've both found love. Hilary has quietly been dating her manager, John Campisi, with whom she recently took a little vacation to Rome. With Kim in the picture, the score is finally even and Hilary doesn't have to feel so bad for basically calling her ex a drug addict in a recent interview.

Lowe and Swank announced their split in January. Swank revealed in the August issue of Vanity Fair that the break-up was due in part to a "substance abuse" problem he battled for three years. "I was disappointed that details of our relationship became kind of public fodder," he said of the article. "I've been sober for three and a half years, and I’m very grateful for that."
