Celica

Celica and Erika are twins. Their father was a world-famous pianist who traveled around the globe giving concerts. Their mother kept their birth a secret from him. In the middle of a terrible snowstorm that took her life, she managed to leave the twins in the care of an orphanage in Hokkaido. Celica was adopted by a married couple in Fukuoka, and raised lovingly as their only child. She still doesn't know that she was adopted.

The Celica has been on the scene for some time, attending shows like the 2001 SEMA Show in Las Vegas and the 2002 PRI Show in Indianapolis. The car definitely had the looks and attention to detail of a purebred speed demon, but it was time to make the impression a reality on the track.

[I]t's not the same engine: Each Celica model has its own block, and different dimensions in bore and stroke. With 10.0:1 compression, the base GT engine makes a respectable 140 horsepower at 6400 rpm, and 125 foot-pounds of torque at a useful 4200 rpm.

A completely new look for the Celica debuted in 1978, when a distinctly European body style was introduced. The new car featured more rounded, contemporary styling highlighted by stainless steel “targa-look” B pillars. The GT coupe and Liftback models continued to offer the 2.2-liter, 20R engine mated with a standard five-speed transmission or optional three-speed automatic; the five-speed ... became standard for the ST coupe.

Celica first played DDR when she was fifteen. She was really drawn to the Naoki sound, so she played a lot, and eventually wandered over to IIDX. As might be expected from a big Naoki fan, she likes fast songs with a good rhythm, but she does occasionally attend ambient music parties.

The current (and possibly last) Celica was introduced in 2000, and was a completely new vehicle. At launch the car featured an all new engine in the form of the 1.8 litre 1ZZ-FE and in 2002 this was joined by the even better 1.8 litre 2ZZ-GE which produced around 190bhp.
