Case No. PU-06-525: On December 15, 2006 Northern States Power (NSP) filed a Notice for Change in Rates for Natural Gas Service under North Dakota Century Code Section 49-05-05 and North Dakota Administrative Code Section 69-09-01-26. The company proposes a $2.8 million or 3.0 percent increase in its annual North Dakota Natural gas revenues. The proposed rates would affect the Company’s service to all of its approximately 43,600 retail natural gas customers in the State of North Dakota. MDU Resources Group, headquartered in Bismarck, N.D., announced that it would acquire Cascade Natural Gas Co. last July. The company filed its application with the UTC on Nov. 13. The deal was approved by the federal Department of Justice and Oregon regulators earlier this month.
