[M]aking its Cartoon Network debut on March 28 at 8 p.m. (ET, PT) is What’s New Scooby-Doo?, a series from Warner Bros. Animation that puts Scooby and the gang in a series of all-new comic mysteries.
As of 2007, Cartoon Network does not have a slogan, but they retained the image campaign that began in 2006, although a slightly refreshed version of the theme is currently in use. In Fall 2007, the channel will begin broadcasting in High Definition.
On September 2, 2001, Cartoon Network launched Adult Swim, a late-night block aimed towards the college age group (18-34). Cowboy Bebop was the first anime featured on this block. Other notable anime titles on Adult Swim include Trigun, The Big O (season 2), InuYasha, s-CRY-ed and The Super Milk-chan Show.
This is a time block that features 5 original Cartoon Network shows with less commercial breaks. Since launched in January 7, 2008 which includes: Class of 3000, The Powerpuff Girls, Squirrel Boy, Codename: Kids Next Door and Ben 10.
Cartoon Network 3D Glasses Giveaway (“Giveaway”) is open to all residents of the United States and valid while supplies last or until 10/5/07. Only 200,000 glasses available. Requests will be processed in order received and in Cartoon Network’s sole discretion. Limit 1 request form and maximum of 4 glasses per household. Requests do not guarantee that you will receive any 3D glasses. To be eligible, requests must be legible, fully completed, and contain a signature of a parent or legal guardian, or be completed by an individual over age 18.
Cartoon Network has aired Saturday afternoon mini-marathon blocks throughout the years. One of the first blocks the network aired was Super Chunk. From 1992 - 2001, Super Chunk aired a three-hour marathon of shows from its library of programming, mostly classic shorts and older Hanna-Barbera shows.
