For non anglophiles who needed to look her up on Wikipedia (including yours truly), Carol Vorderman is a British TV presenter best known for appearing on quiz shows like the long-running Countdown. So she’s sort of like a female Alex Trebek. Or perhaps a smarter Vanna White (pffft, like that’s even possible). But apparently the fetching and slightly cougar-esque Carol is an enormous fan of the sudoku, having published several best selling books on the subject, therefore she gets to have her own eponymously titled videogame. She might just be the new John Madden, sans clogged arteries.

Carol Vorderman is Britain’s leading female television host. For twenty-three years she has been known as the “Numbers Queen” on the hit quiz show Countdown, where she performs mental arithmetic at lightning speed. She has ... presented science and technology shows for many years, including BBC TV’s Tomorrow’s World, as well as top-rated entertainment programs such as Stars and Their Lives. Carol hosted the world’s first live Sudoku television show in July 2005. She is hooked on Sudoku.

Carol Vorderman’s Sudoku has a number of various games that you can play, they are all Sudoku just with different twists. In the Single Player mode you can select the Classic style of play which gives you the Sudoku board with a number of the fields filled and your job is to fill in the blanks as quickly as possible. You can select the difficulty which will determine how many of the fields are already filled in, the difficulties available to you are Easy, Medium, Difficult and Super-Difficult.
