Carmen is finally cool enough, by Hollywood standards, to appear on the cover of Interview! Carmen and a bunch of the other Pussycats appeared on the cover of the "L.A. Cool" edition. They didn't really have a whole photospread, just the cover and a two-page pic inside. (You can read the interview with Robin Antin in the Pussycats section.) The photos were taken by Sheryl Nields. The names of the other dancers, pictured from left to right in the double-page pic are: Kasey Campbell, Stacy Flood, Carmen Electra, Nadine Ellis, Robin Antin, Cyia Batten and Carmit Bachar (in front of Stacy.)

Electra became so popular among readers of Playboy that she was featured in the magazine three more times, with her second appearance in June 1997. She subsequently graced the cover twice, in December 2000 and April 2003. In the Playboy Cyber Club, she was the first woman invited to be a celebrity guest photographer; she chose Playmate Jennifer Walcott as her subject model.

Now this just proves what a fantastic Victoria's Sectret model Carmen would make! This shoot was for Stuff magazine though, by photographer Steve Shaw. The staff did a great job making Carmen look so lovely and slightly different than the usual mens mag look. It's ... great that they didn't airbrush the bejesus out of her perfectly sculpted face. Entertainment Tonight did a peice on her regarding this photo shoot, which you can see by clicking on the frame. (5.2 MB) The previews showed more footage of her posing and talking about the shoot than the actual piece they aired, which mostly showed the published stills.

"It is not unusual to request approval over photos being shot of a performance, and we requested the (lensmen) who Carmen was most comfortable with. The media was invited backstage to interview and shoot Carmen after the performance."
