Waltrip and Edwards to race at Nashville during Easter off-weekend: Michael Waltrip and Carl Edwards are two of four Nextel Cup drivers who have committed to racing in the sixth annual Pepsi 300 April 15 at Nashville Superspeedway. Joining Waltrip and Edwards at the NASCAR Busch Series race will be Nextel contenders Kevin Harvick and Greg Biffle. The weekend of Easter is typically an off-week on the Nextel Cup circuit. Carl Edwards easily held off a late challenge from Kevin Harvick on Saturday to win the NASCAR Busch Series race at New Hampshire International Speedway. Edwards has finished first or second in five of the last eight races, including all three of his 2005 Busch victories. But the Roush Racing driver remained a distant second in the season standings, 308 points behind runaway series leader Harvick.

In his short Nextel Cup career, Carl Edwards has made many impressive accomplishments. 2005, Edwards' first full season, was really a milestone year, a year in which he finished third in points in both the Nextel Cup and the Busch Series. It was a year where he swept both races at Atlanta, as well as winning two others.

Carl Edwards won the Pepsi 300 in Nashville for the second straight year, and his second win in a Busch series car this year. It ... extened his points lead in the Busch Series to 321 points, so he may get that title that he missed a couple years ago. We’ve only found a couple videos of the Nashville race posted so far, the first laps and the last few laps.

Carl Edwards, the 2003 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) Rookie of the Year, manned the controls of the NASCAR Cup Series No. 99 Roush Racing Ford for the first time at Michigan International Speedway on August 22, 2004. Edwards relapced Jeff Burton, who terminated a nine-year relationship with Roush Racing when he joined the No. 30 Richard Childress Racing.
