Edwards led three times for 122 laps, and runner-up Denny Hamlin led twice for 50. Kenseth, who led 25 of the last 38 laps, was the only other driver to lead more than two laps.

It is doubtful that the problem with the rear of the car gave Edwards any sort of competitive advantage at Dover. Nonetheless, NASCAR didn't have much choice in the matter if it wanted to be consistent since other teams have gotten 25 points taken away for height violations.
