The US Virgin Islands are another great destination for Caribbean cruises. The US Virgin Islands are composed of many islands but the mainislands are St. Thomas (the largest), St. Croix, St. John and St. Thomas (the smallest). St. Thomas is the capital of the island chain and offers the most activities, shopping and hotel rooms. St. Thomas is quite unique in that most of the island is protected as a national park. St. Croix offers an option that is something between these two – not as “Americanized” as St. Thomas, but not as natural as St. John. Visitors will find that there is no shortage of activities to keep them as busy as they want to be.
