built 648 days ago
Until recently, Cape Verde's largest and most enticing island, Santiago, was beyond the reach of holidaymakers and homeowners. Now with the opening of an International Airport, it is set to emerge as a significant tourism destination - and an outstanding property opportunity for early investors. The island has a unique and exotic Creole culture which has taken on influence from Brazil, Portugal and musical vibes from Senegal.

Cape Verde has few natural resources and suffers from poor rainfall and limited fresh water. Only 4 of the 10 main islands (Santiago, Santo Antão, Fogo, and Brava) normally support significant agricultural production. Mineral resources include salt, pozzolana (a volcanic rock used in cement production), and limestone.
