Callaway Golf is getting ready to unveil their newest product offering: Forged Wedges. Roger Cleveland, the founder and namesake of Cleveland Golf, designed the new wedges. Cleveland has been with Callaway for several years and this marks his return to a design that put Cleveland Golf on the map. The wedges are made from soft 1020 carbon steel and are featured in two different finishes: chrome and vintage. The vintage is a non-glare finish and both models are available in lofts of 52, 54, 56, 58 and 60 degrees. Expected to hit pro shops in August the wedges will be priced around $110 each in steel.

Worse, all the competition -- which ... includes Nike (NKE ) -- has put golf ball prices under pressure. Through this year's first half, the average price for a dozen balls fell 4.1%, to $24.38, according to Golf Datatech, as unit sales sank 5.4%. The trend at Callaway is worse: Although the company aimed its balls at the market's premium end, a year ago it had to cut list prices.

The hat sports the Srixon logo on the front and the popular grinning golf ball from the Srixon TV commercials on the back.
