Caliente is a town of about 12 hundred people. If the Yucca Mountain project goes through as planned, Caliente would be front and center. How would hauling radioactive waste through the town affect it? That's up for argument. In many ways, Caliente is a town divided.

Caliente is a nude recreation community, built for and managed by nudists. First, it’s a residential community, designed for people who wish to own their homes or cottages or condominium apartments in a nudist setting, where they can live the nudist life all day, every day, year round, in a secure and private place of great natural beauty.

● Caliente Man has every line of every story of every Caliente issue memorized, going back to the publication's debut in 1999. Want to know how many stars "The Truman Show" got when it was reviewed in 1998? Ask Caliente Man and he'll go, "Haha! Trick question! The Star didn't assign stars to movie reviews at that time!" Caliente Man can be sorta annoying sometimes.

The Legends are certainly struggling to keep businesses opening out there flourishing - first the Irish Pub, then Hash House a GoGo, now Caliente! If a restaurant isn't good, that's one thing, but when it is and it can't make it, it makes you wonder about the traffic out there and how consistent it is weeknights as well as weekends. With so many new restaurants opening out there it will be interesting to see who makes it and who doesn't.
