The Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians slots manager plans to move 300 to 350 machines into Agua Caliente Casino as early as Tuesday, tribal spokeswoman Nancy Conrad said. A room ... will be reconfigured at Spa Resort Casino in Palm Springs to accommodate a couple hundred machines in the months to come. The Morongo Band of Mission Indians expects to welcome the first 400 machines by the end of the weekend at the Morongo Casino Resort in Cabazon. "The sooner the machines are installed, the sooner the state will realize the revenue," Morongo spokesman Patrick Dorinson said. "It's been a good day for California all around."

Slot manufacturers, expect a call today.That was the prediction from Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians chairman Richard Milanovich shortly before midnight Tuesday as polls trended toward a sizeable victory on the gaming compacts -- Propositions 94 to 97. As many as 1,000 more slot machines could be added to the Agua Caliente Casino in Rancho Mirage by April 1, Milanovich said, while the Spa Resort Casino in Palm Springs will rearrange its casino for a couple hundred slots.
