In 1985, Cadillac's standard models - the Deville and Fleetwood - switched to GM's new C-body platform with front wheel drive. These new models surprisingly kept almost identical interior dimensions as their considerably larger, previous-year rear wheel drive counterparts. This 1985 change ... brought nearly the entire Cadillac line of cars to front wheel drive - leaving only the Fleetwood Brougham as the rear wheel drive stand-out.
