Cadaver: Band
built 655 days ago
Anders Odden and Ole Bjerkebakke founded Cadaver in 1988. They were later joined by bassist René Jansen and in 1989 the trio released the "Abnormal Deformity" demo. The demo attracted the attention of Carcass members, Bill Steer and Jeff Walker, who signed the band to their Earache imprint label, Necrosis. The subsequent album, Hallucinating Anxiety was released in 1990 as a split with the Carnage album Dark Recollections. Shortly after the album's release, René Jansen was replaced by Eilert Solstad. In 1992, the band released their second album, titled ...In Pains.

In the early 90s CADAVER was one of the leading extreme Metal bands from Norway. Then they broke up and their promising future turned into a dark one. But they were not forgotten and when CADAVER INC. officially released their great debut album there was no excuse for not having a chat with Anders about the past, present and future of his new old project and especially about the highly original concept of CADAVER INC.

Cadaver Inc is yet another in a long line of high quality Norwegian metal acts. Where the original Cadaver paved the way for such Norwegian bands as Emperor, Mayhem, Immortal, Satyricon, Enslaved and Dimmu Borgir in the early 90s, Cadaver Inc is now more than ready and ably equipped to pick up the challenge laid down by those bands during the intervening years.
