Cache
built 647 days ago
The Cache modules are a total redesign and reimplementation of Cache::Cache and ... not directly compatible. It would be, however, quite possible to write a wrapper module that provides an identical interface to Cache::Cache.

Cache is high speed memory that is located close to your CPU for faster access to frequently used data. The first place your CPU looks for data is in the cache, and more specifically, the cache located on the CPU itself, referred to as Level 1 or L1 cache. If the data the CPU is looking for isn't present in the L1 cache, or it fails to retrieve it in the current clock cycle, it then looks for it in the secondary cache, if present, otherwise it retrieves it from your system memory. Assuming that there is a secondary cache present (L2 cache), the processor can then retrieve it from a source slower than that of the L1 cache, yet still faster than if it had gone all the way to the system memory to retrieve the data. This process continues with ... many levels of cache your system has before the processor has no other option than to retrieve the data from system memory, the slowest option out of them all.
In Cache, 75% of the houses and apartments are occupied by the owners, not rented out. If you prefer houses that are on the new side, the city may be the place for you - the average age of homes here is quite young. Cache has higher property taxes than most places in Oklahoma, which provides more money for local schools and services.
CacheRight for IIS Acceleration Cache control for many developers is limited to using the META tag. Unfortunately, this technique is time consuming, fails to leverage proxy caches, works poorly for HTML files, and does nothing at all for the most cache-worthy items in a site -- images! With CacheRight, a simple configuration rules file in the Web site's home directory enables developers to set up rules that control expiration by file location or file type. Unchanging images, PDFs, Flash, multimedia files and other page elements are delivered crisply from the repeat user's browser cache. Dynamic content is served guaranteed fresh, without competing with validation requests and static content for precious server cycles and bandwidth.
The Cache classes can be used via the tie interface, as shown in the synopsis. This allows the cache to be accessed via a hash. All the standard methods for accessing the hash are supported , with the exception of the 'keys' or 'each' call.
