Home Bulb numbers: H4, 9004, 9007 are dual filaments. Dual filaments are used for both low and high beams. It uses 1 filament when you have your car on low beam and 2 for high beam so you get low and high beams for the price of one pair. The rest of the bulb numbers are single filaments .
Bulbs or bulb-like plants are usually perennials. They have a period of growth and flowering. This is followed by a period of dormancy where they die back to ground level at the end of each growing season. For spring bulbs, the end of the growing season is in late spring or early summer. Spring bulbs start to grow again in the fall and flower the following growing season.
Keep in mind that after flowering, the plant needs the green leaves to manufacture food (photosynthesis) that is stored in the bulb for next year’s growth. If the homeowner mows off the foliage early, the plant can no longer manufacture nutrient reserves for next year. This results in a small, weak bulb which will gradually decline and die out.

The High Wattage bulbs use either a quartz bulb impregnated with a blue tint, or a blue coating on the bulb. They say that this to block out some of the spectrum which causes eyestrain.
