Buick Regal

Buick Regal is a performance-oriented mid-size sedan. And because it's Buick's performance-oriented mid-size sedan, it doesn't wear its performance on its shirtsleeve. The Buick Regal was first introduced in 1973 as a line extension of the popular Buick Century. Originally, only a two-door hardtop model was available.
1995-1996 Buick Regal sedan All Buick Regals were assembled at the Oshawa Car Assembly in Ontario, Canada. The Regal was the fourth model chosen to be assembled in China by GM Shanghai, beginning on December 26, 2002, after the Century, GL8 minivan, and the Sail. It has generated considerable sales in that market as a large, relatively luxurious model, despite being more expensive than the American version. It replaced the Century in Buick's Chinese lineup and has slightly different frontal sheetmetal from the American models. Engine choices are ... very different: a 2.0 L four-cylinder and a 2.5 L V6 power the Chinese Regal.
Buick Regal accessories—revealed. America thought that the 1973 oil embargo was the nail in the muscle car’s coffin, but the big block street demons would rise from the grave in 1982. Buick breathed fire into their already mighty Regal and gave birth to the Grand National, a 200hp hell spawn with enough energy to outrun the angel of death himself. Of course, the other Buick Regales were mighty impressive cars as well, and they are even more fun and exciting to drive with a few accessory upgrades.
The Buick Regal has enough accessories and performance parts available to make it sporty and have the feel of a fantastic Gran Touring car. On the next Mini Sites you will see the reviews of a couple of selected Buick Regals. Mainly the 1985, 1986, 1987, 1991 and 1998 Models, their specs and features shall be discussed and see how the Buick Regal has evolved in its style and performance.
The Olympic Edition was created to commemorate Buick's support for U.S. Olympic athletes, the Olympic Edition Regal comes only in Gold Metallic, Silver Metallic, or Graphite Metallic, with exclusive Sandrift lower body panels. The Olympic logo on tail lamps and floor mats, and Storm Gray accents for the grille and wheel centers further distinguish this special Regal. Taupe leather will be the only available interior. Olympic LSs are upgraded with OnStar and the Gran Touring suspension, and all Olympic Regals will feature a power sunroof and an eight-speaker Monsoon audio system with steering-wheel-mounted controls.
1997 Buick Century Though little changed for '85, Century displaced Regal (now down to coupes only) as Buick's best-seller, with annual production through 1987 of over a quarter-million units. The '86s were modestly restyled via a curiously unaerodynamic under-cut nose. The T Type coupe vanished, Chevy's familiar 2.8 V-6 ousted Buick's 3.0 as the step-up engine, and the 3.8 gained 25 horses (for 150 total) via low-friction roller valve lifters, sequential-port injection, and distributorless triple-coil ignition.
