built 390 days ago
As the title character in Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Sarah Michelle Gellar slayed, quipped and romanced her way into television history. The show and the role were uncharted television territory, but Sarah was able traverse the clichés of the genre and make Buffy a genuine original, becoming an icon of female empowerment. Buffy proved that a girl doesn't need to dress down to dust vamps.

Mr Showbiz News reported there'll be no Britney Spears on Buffy the Vampire Slayer after all. Spears, who is pals with Buffy star Sarah Michelle Gellar, had to pull out of a planned appearance on the teen demon-slaying WB show due to scheduling conflicts, TV Guide reports. But life goes on in Sunnydale. Buffy co-executive producer Marti Noxon tells the magazine, "We're still going to do the episode, we're just going to do it with someone else."
