OH BROTHER: Kurt and Kyle Busch will become the seventh set of brothers to start together in a Budweiser Shootout. They follow Rusty and Kenny Wallace (who finished first and second in 1998), Bobby and Donnie Allison (who finished last and next-to-last in 1981), Bobby and Terry Labonte, and Jeff and Ward Burton. Geoffrey Bodine started three races with his brother Brett and four Shootouts with his brother Todd, but the three Bodine boys never made the field as a trio. There have been two father/son duos in the field: Bobby and Davey Allison in 1988 and the Earnhardts, Dale and Dale Jr., in 2001.

Busch Gardens Europe, Williamsburg, Virginia This is the awesome finish to the 2008 Budweiser Shootout at Daytona. This is from the last restart until the end of the live coverage. Dale Jr. wins in his first race of any kind with Hendrick! GO JR! Its good to see Jr win again after nearly 2 years since his last one at Richmond. He looks happy again for a change.
In this year's 2006 NASCAR Nextel Cup Season, rookie Denny Hamlin, driver for NFL Head Coach Joe Gibbs' team, won the 2006 Budweiser Shootout at the Daytona International Speedway. Hamlin brought immediate respectability to the FedEx outfit in a 2005 late-season audition, putting a team struggling to qualify for races in the top 10 three times over the last seven races. In a qualifying performance that set the stage for future heroics, he won the pole position at Phoenix in November.
Busch Gardens Europe, Williamsburg, Virginia Earnhardt won the exhibition Budweiser Shootout with a dominating run Saturday night in his new Hendrick Motorsports ride. He powered past Tony Stewart with two laps to go, then held on for his first win against Cup drivers and cars since early 2006.
