About two-thirds of the people of Brunei are ethnic Malays, and these benefit from positive discrimination. The Chinese comprise about 16% of the population. There are ... Indians and indigenous groups, of whom the Murut and Dusuns are favoured over the Ibans.

The productivity of the film industry in Brunei is evidently growing over the last couple of years, with more and more Bruneians taking videos (in 3GP format with their cameraphone, to be specific) and uploading them to YouTube. Films range from fake street/bathroom fights, school students bitching with each other, people trying to immitate Achai the skinhead, lame music videos, people wasting their life just to get their faces/stupid acts online, and many more. Brunei entered the International Film Festival last year, and (not surprisingly) lost to Bollywood India.

PEOPLE: Brunei can be described as a Malay nation with Malays accounting for 69% of the population while the Chinese constitute around 18%. Other minorities include Indians and indigenous groups such as Ibans, Dusans and other minor tribal groups. Europeans make up a small part of the population, although most of these are temporary workers of the British, American, Dutch and Australian origin.
