Bruce Jones was a four-year letterman in football and a three-year starter who became a 1985 All-American. He played strong safety three seasons and then moved to cornerback as a senior and was selected first-team All-American as a senior by the American Football Coaches Association, Kodak and the Football News. He set a school record for kick-blocking as a senior with five blocked punts and one blocked field goal and scored five touchdowns in his career as a defensive back. UNA compiled a 37-7-4 record in Jones' four seasons with the Lions and he was a leader on UNA's 1985 squad that finished 12-2 and reached the NCAA Division II semifinals in 1983 with an 11-1-1 record. He was a member of Gulf South Conference championship teams in 1983 and 1985 and was a first-team All-GSC pick in 1985. During Jones senior season, UNA finished second nationally in pass defense, second nationally in scoring defense and fourth nationally in total defense.

Dr. Bruce Jones has been practicing dentistry for 16 years. He graduated from North Muskegon High School and received his B.A.degree from Albion college. He then went on to the University of Michigan School of Dentistry and earned his dental degree. Furthermore, he has received additional training in CEREC Cad/Cam technology. This allows dentists to repair a damaged tooth in about a one hour visit. He currently lives in the Muskegon area with his wife and three children.

At the beginning, the Bruce Jones run had a nice little bump in sales. Then the movie helpped push the book a little further sales wise too, as retailers hoped a successful movie would keep the book a high seller.

Bruce Jones started out as an artist in New York in the 1970s, selling illustrations to science fiction magazines, comic books, fanzines and men's magazines. In the mid-1970s Jones turned to writing for the Warren magazines. Since the 1980s, he has worked for numerous comics like 'Alien Worlds', 'Batman', 'Conan the Barbarian', 'Incredible Hulk', 'Vampirella' and 'Weird War Tales'. He let loose his unusual imagination in his own comic 'Twisted Tales'.

Bruce Jones has really come to the forefront of the comics' community with his current work on the Incredible Hulk. His twist on this familiar character has given new life to the Green Goliath. Also, he's working on an origin for Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin of crime in Kingpin. Plus he just finished a miniseries pitting Wolverine against ol' Jade Jaws in Wolverine/Hulk: 6 hours.

These days writer Bruce Jones is best known for his high-impact, brooding plotlines for The Incredible Hulk, delving into Wilson Fisk's criminal past in Kingpin, and other works at Marvel Comics. A little better than 20 years ago, though, he and wife April Campbell had teamed up with artist Brent Anderson (Astro City) for a crime comic from a new publisher on the block, Pacific Comics.
