Bruce Jones is Co-Director of the Center for International Cooperation at NYU. In 2003-2004, he served as Deputy Research Director for the High-Level Panel on Threats, Challenges, and Change. In 2004-2005, he served as Deputy to the Special Advisor to the Secretary General and supported the Assistant Secretary General for Strategic Planning during the "In Larger Freedom" reform effort. He holds a Ph.D. from the London School of Economics and is the author of Peacemaking in Rwanda: The Dynamics of Failure.

Bruce Jones and his wife Christine are the parents of four children. They have been residents of Cottonwood Heights for the past 27 years. Chris is a graduate of the University of Utah and Bruce graduated from the Brigham Young University law school after receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting.
Ian Roy Jones was born in Manchester on 24 January 1953, the oldest of six children born to a steel erector father, Bruce and his factory worker wife Irene. He grew up in Collyhurst and left school at sixteen. During his school time he appeared in school plays beginning with a part as the wise man in the school nativity play at the age of 5.
