Brownie’s Nitrox Maker™ is a modular system, which aids in installation of the unit and makes it relatively easy to operate. To select a gas mixture, the operator simply uses the dials on the unit to choose the desired oxygen percentage for the final mix. The Nitrox Maker™ uses two independent oxygen analyzers to ensure the accuracy of the final mixture. The gas produced can either be used to fill scuba tanks directly or stored in a series of high pressure tanks for future use. All of the components of the Nitrox Maker™ are encased in a King Starboard® cabinet that allows for easy installation and an attractive finish.

Brownies are one of America's best-loved culinary inventions. "Although the origin of brownies is not clear, they have been eaten in the USA since the 19th century, first appearing in the 1897 Sears, Roebuck Catalog," says Alan Davidson in the Oxford Companion to Food. James Trager, author of The Food Chronology, says the first brownie recipe was "probably created when a careless cook failed to add baking powder to a chocolate cake batter." This has been traced to a housewife in Bangor Maine, when her chocolate cake didn't rise properly and she cut out flattened pieces from the pan.

Brownies are totally American. They were created around the turn of the 20th century. The Boston Cooking-School Cook Book, published in 1906, may have been the first to include a brownie recipe. Rumor has it that the first brownies came about when a housewife forgot to add leavening to her cake and didn’t want to admit her mistake. So she cut it into bars and served it.
