Valley Bronze of Oregon has been in continuous production at its foundry facility in Joseph, Oregon since 1982. Starting as a small bronze art casting facility serving local artists with less than a dozen employees, Valley Bronze soon expanded as it began to take on larger, more demanding and complex sculptural projects. A monument facility was added in 1987, with the extra space, ceiling height, and equipment to accommodate sculptures weighing thousands of pounds.

The beginning of the Bronze Age in Britain can be put around 2,000 BC. Although not certain, it is generally thought that the new bronze tools and weapons identified with this age were brought over from continental Europe. The skulls recovered from burial sites from the Bronze Age are different in shape from Stone Age skulls. This would suggest that new ideas and new blood were brought over from the continent. Stone and bronze can be used together, subject to the availability of both materials. True bronze is a combination of 10% tin and 90% copper.

Bronze has been used since Biblical times and is an alloy of copper, tin, and traces of other metals. One can appreciate the natural patination of bronze as well as the technigues of gilt or polychrome, which bring another dimension to this artwork. Fine art bronze sculptures are usually mounted on exquisite marble bases, enhancing the appeal to collectors and art afficionados alike. The Atlanta Antique Gallery offers gorgeous bronze sculptures of women, animals, dancers and more!

The Bronze Age in Indonesia is estimated as having begun around the 1st century BC, and it drastically changed man's way of life both practically and culturally. Bronze is a mixture of copper and tin, and as it has a low melting point, objects were either produced by forging (heating then beating the bronze) or by wax-casting techniques. Bronze axes, ceremonial items and jewellery were the most popular items made.
