TYPES OF BROMINE: Bromine is an alternative to chlorine. Bromine comes in both tablet and granular form. But, bromine tablets are used far more often that is granular bromine. In fact, most chemical manufacturers of bromine do not even package or sell granular bromine in bulk (25 LB or 50LB buckets).

Bromine is the third halide, after Fluorine and Chlorine, and is a relatively heavy halide, occuring as a brownish liquid at room temperature. The halides themselves define the concept of non-metallic reactivity, with a valence of -1, they react directly with the alkali metals to form ionic salts, which then can undergo Electrolysis at nearly 100% efficiency, and which dissociate back into their respective ions, when in Solution.
