Broken Social Scene: Leslie Feist
built 653 days ago
In early 2003, the Canadian/Toronto based indie-collective known simply as Broken Social Scene quietly released their sophomore album to an unsuspecting audience. You Forgot it in People went on to become one of the most critically acclaimed releases of recent years, selling over 70,000 units in the U.S. (double that world-wide) and garnering heaps of praise from the likes of Rolling Stone, Spin and the New York Times. YFIIP is now hailed as the touch-stone album that sparked the infiltration of Canadian music on to the international map (think: The Dears, Arcade Fire, Death From Above 1979, Feist, Stars).

Guide Note: Broken Social Scene is a Canadian music collective consisting of as many as 20 members. However the two core members of the group are Kevin Drew and Brendan Canning. Feist is ... a member of the group.
