A routine court mandated visit with her children turned into a stand off when Britney Spears refused to part with them after time ran out. Trouble started to brew around 7pm when Spears wouldn't allow K-Fed's bodyguard to leave with Sean Preston and Jayden James. The bodyguard finally gave in and called police after 90 minutes of trying to reason with "an intoxicated" Britney.

Yet Britney recently shocked her closest friends by admitting that, even when she gets well, she doesn't plan to fight her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, for full-time custody of Sean Preston and Jayden James.

Besides sharing Preston and Jayden with Lynne for the first time in months and sitting down for family meals, Britney seemed to most enjoy the time she spent with her sister Jamie Lynn. They drove around Malibu in Britney's Mercedes CLK 350, giggled as they ordered takeout at a Taco Bell drive-thru, stopped for orange drinks at a Shell gas station and had sushi and salad in Bel Air. "Britney was very happy and laughing with her sister," says a waiter who saw them eating an early dinner at the Sushi House Unico on Oct. 7. Just two days shy of Sean's first birthday, Britney gave birth to her second son Jayden James Federline on September 12, 2006 in Los Angeles, California. Spears filed for divorce from Federline in early November, citing irreconcilable differences and asking for both physical and legal custody of their two children, with visitation rights for Federline. Laura Wasser has been hired to represent Spears in the case. According to a representative for Federline's lawyer, the divorce filing "caught Kevin totally by surprise."Finally, on March 29, 2007, Spears and Federline reached a settlement, "All parties signed a global settlement agreement on all issues concerning their marriage and custody of their two children," said Michael Sands, spokesperson for Federline's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan.
