Inside is reporting that Britney Spears is shopping a work of fiction. According to a publishing executive whose house was pitched the idea on Friday, Vigliano Associates agent David Vigliano is representing Spears and her mother, Lynne Spears, who plan to co-write a Mother's Day parable to be published by May 2001. Lynne is expected to make the rounds of publishers next week. (Britney is currently on tour in Europe.) According to an editor who was pitched the book, the trim-size gift book will be in the same vein as the bestseller The Christmas Box, by Richard Paul Evans. But instead of touting Noel, it will be all about daughters and mothers. Spears is no stranger to success in the book-publishing world.
