Britney Spears then began a relationship with Kevin Federline and in July 2004, she announced her engagement three months after they met. Federline had very recently been in a relationship with actress Shar Jackson, who was at the time pregnant with his second child. These initial stages were chronicled in Spears' first reality show Britney & Kevin: Chaotic, which aired on UPN during May and June of 2005. On the night of September 18, 2004, Spears married Federline in a surprise, non-denominational ceremony at a residence in Studio City, California, filing legal papers on October 6, 2004.

While Britney tends to her health, last night Spears' soon to be ex-husband Kevin Federline and his lawyers called an emergency hearing in family court. The hearing was cancelled this morning based on news that Britney returned to rehab. Federline has been looking after his two children with Spears, Sean Preston and Jayden James since Thursday, a source close to Brit's ex confirmed to Access.

"Britney was the overwhelming choice," said editor Hilary O'Hagan. "She once had three Chihuahuas (Lacy, Lucky and Bit-Bit) and never left home without at least one of them on her arm. As soon as she met K-Fed and had kids they disappeared." One of the dogs, Lucky, reportedly took an instant dislike to K-Fed. "It was either Mr. Federline or Lucky," added Ms. O'Hagan. "Unfortunately Britney chose the wrong dog and the rest is history."

It was within such a relationship that Britney really grew comfortable with herself. She discovered the joys of activities such as: wearing clothes so alluring that they'd make a bishop kick out a stained glass window; being photographed with (speculative) face cream still drying on her face; shoving her bare feet in paparazzi lenses; putting teenage boys on leashes; smoking excessively; and consuming unbelievable amounts of Cherry Coke, as well as Cheetos and other deep-fried foods. Husband Kevin supported such self-discovery, as he supported his free access to Britney’s cheque book. After many months of eating for two, Britney finally produced a baby of sorts, which she immediately handed to her mother and sister to take care of so that she could resume smoking.

As of today, Sam Luftesticles has yet to be served the restraining order that would effectively keep him 250 yards from Britney Spears. In the meantime, he's acquired himself a press agent, Michael Sands. Ironically, Michael Sands was a media consultant for Mark Vincent Kaplan who is Kevin Federline's defense lawyer. TMZ reports:
