Britney Spears was on a TV show for children in 1991 and 1995 called the New Mickey Mouse Club. Other people on the show during this time were singers Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake, and JC Chasez (who would later be members of the band *NSYNC), and actors Ryan Gosling and Keri Russell.

After a brief stint in gymnastics in her native Louisiana, Britney made a very difficult decision with the help of her mother, a.k.a Attila the Mom. Instead of focusing on her very promising talent as a preteen gymnast, she decided instead to focus on her lack of talent in singing, acting, and trying to live the thug life. Along with Justin Timberlake, she became part of The New Mickey Mouse League, which was based on the World War II Hitler Youth Program. This was an attempt to bombard America with preteen entertainment that was so incredibly lame that it would numb their brains. This would then leave them unable to think, which left them easy prey for hypnotist Karl Rove, who convinced them to vote for his animatronic Disney puppet George W. Bush.

Entertainment Wire reported that PlanetHollywood.com, the ultimate entertainment channel, is searching for the fans who most resemble pop icons Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake. The site is co-sponsoring a "Britney & Justin Look-alike Contest" through June 15. Britney and Justin look-alikes can submit photos online at PlanetHollywood.com. Visitors to the site cast votes for their favorites. The contestants with the most votes will be flown to Orlando -- where Britney and Justin got their start -- for a dream "date," including dinner at Planet Hollywood, theme park tickets and a publicity photo shoot. "Everybody loves Britney and Justin," said PlanetHollywood.com vice president Shannon O'Quinn.

It's been a rough week for teen queen Britney Spears. These days she spends almost as much time explaining as she does performing. Since Spears took the pop world by storm, the media have tossed questions her way about breast implants (which she has denied having), steamy Rolling Stone cover photos, and her relationship with `N Sync singer Justin Timberlake (she says they are just friends). On Wednesday, Spears let down at least 1,000 fans at a Boston in-store autograph session at Filene's, because she was in Memphis visiting none other than Mr. Timberlake, according to the Boston Herald. The paper reports that Spears planned to take a commercial flight from Memphis to Boston to make her appearance, but the flight was canceled due to mechanical problems. To her credit, Spears did make her scheduled performance in Boston at the BankBoston Pavilion that evening.

It has been reported in the latest issue of Sweet16 that Britney and justin plan to wiite a book together. "In what appears to be a public declaration of love for each other and further evidence of their ongoing romance, singer, actress, and "writer" Britney Spears will be teaming up with her lover-boy, Justin Timberlake, to co-publish a book of poetry, love letters, and diary entries-- all pertaining to their relationship with each other".
