Brigitte Bardot (born September 28, 1934) is a French actress and model, daughter of an industrialist. Also known simply as BB ("Bebe" in childhood), she is considered the embodiment of the 1950s "sex kitten".

Boycotting the festival, Brigitte Bardot organized a reception in Nice, the "BB party"; she did not go to Cannes because she is making a movie, "Une parisienne", with Charles Boyer and Henri Vidal, under the direction of Michel Boiron. She ... feels that the festival was not kind to her the previous year and she loathes this kind of event. In a garden, she graciously exits a giant cardboard box and later poses for photographers, then she is surrounded by some of her guests. Voiceover commentary by François Chalais. In a typically convoluted set-up, schoolgirl Brigitte (BB), daughter of the owner a (rather daggy) Parisian nightclub, has to be kept out of sight while the police investigate some counterfeit money. That Brigitte’s father should chose as her chaperone the heartthrob lead singer at the nightclub (Jean Bretonnière) beggars belief, but who cares.
