Lil' Bow Wow Lil' Bow Wow was born Shad Gregory Moss on March 9, 1987, in Columbus, Ohio, and was raised in nearby Reynoldsburg. He was a middle child, a brother between two sisters. It didn't take long for his musical talents to surface. "He'd pick up my kitchen utensils and combs and brushes and start rapping," his mother, Teresa Caldwell, told Jet. By the time he was three it was clear that Shad (the name still used by his friends) was something special, and his mother began to enter him in talent shows around the Columbus area. He began performing under the name of Kid Gangsta.

Bow Wow The story of Bow Wow (formerly known as Lil' Bow Wow) is a truly remarkable tale. Not just another kid rapper, Bow Wow is the new millennium's prince of hip-hop. Known as Shad by his friends, this Columbus, Ohio, native is known for rapping 16 consecutive bars of pure rhyme – sharper and faster than rappers from both the old and new school.

Lil Bow Wow Born Shad Gregory Moss on March 9, 1987, in Columbus, OH, Bow Wow began his rap career as Lil Bow Wow, a moniker acquired during his brief relationship with Death Row Records, then the home of Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. A subsequent relationship with Jermaine Dupri and his So So Def label proved more fruitful for Bow Wow. Under the guidance of Dupri -- who had previously guided other kid rappers, namely Kris Kross and Da Brat, to mainstream success -- and songwriter/producer Bryan-Michael Cox, the young rapper was primed for success.

Bow Wow Last week rapper Bow Wow was rushed to the hospital and was forced to cancel a performance. At first reps for the rapper said it was due to "exhaustion" and stress from the concert, but he was actually diagnosed with an appendix affection.
Bow Wow Wow at Kant-Kino, Berlin, 1982 Bow Wow Wow is another matter. The group's rhythms are still influenced by the Burundian recording, but they are varied and flexible rather than slavishly imitative. And the Bow Wows have absorbed other rhythmic usages, including West African high life, Brazilian pop and conventional rock and roll. They seem to be able to synthesize their influences into appealing trash-pop as easily as they subvert Malcolm McLaren's image manipulation.
