1. Marathon -- Boston Marathon
   Former Olympian and three-time Boston Marathon winner Uta Pippig offers advice and inspiration to NOVA's runners throughout their training. And veteran Tufts University coach Donald Megerle guides them week-by-week through an onslaught of physical and psychological challenges. NOVA's runners range in age from 22 to 60, and they come to the endeavor with a wide range of medical histories and backgrounds. They share one thing in common: none has ever run a marathon before.
2. Boston -- Boston Marathon
   The 2008 Boston Marathon will include a separate start for top female competitors. The Elite Women's Start (EWS) will begin prior to 10 a.m. and performances from this start will be scored separately from women starting at 10 a.m. Open and masters division women who consider themselves eligible for prize money in the 2008 Boston Marathon must declare themselves as a contestant for the EWS start. They may send an email to ews@baa.org for further details on format, eligibility, regulations and instructions. Race officials can assist in determining which start - EWS or 10:00 a.m. - is most appropriate. Prize money will be awarded to contestants in the EWS only. Women who choose not to start in the EWS give up the right to compete for prize money.
3. John Hancock Financial Services -- Boston Marathon
   Along with signing Kastor, John Hancock announced they have ... secured 2006 Boston Champion Rita Jeptoo of Kenya to return and defend her title. Only 25 years old, Jeptoo is a rising star in the sport and brings strong credentials to the race. Winning the first two marathons she entered in Milan and Stockholm, Jeptoo then placed seventh at the 2005 World Championships. After her Boston Marathon win last year, she ran the fourth fastest 20K of all time and then went on to finish a strong fourth in the New York City Marathon.
4. Marathon -- Marathons
   Through its presenting sponsorship, UTC will continue working on innovative ways to make the Hartford Marathon "greener" and more sustainable. An example from the 2007 race was the 40-spout water fountain that quenched thirsts at the finish line while eliminating the need for an estimated 10,000 plastic water bottles.
5. Marathon -- Half Marathon
   The popular family fun, which is approximately 1.5 miles, will take place after the start of the Half Marathon and will comprise 2 laps of the perimeter of the maltings meadow sports ground. Entry is on the day. The finish of the races is by the Grandstand and the first runners can be expected at about 1 o’clock, and where the winners will receive their prizes from the Town Mayor.
6. Boston University
   Boston University is an online university that offers several degree and certificate programs full-time through internet courses. Students at Boston University do not have to take the time to attend classes at an online setting. Even though they are taught in the virtual classroom, they are top notch. The courses are taught by university professors and offer strict and comprehensive lessons, similar to those taught in traditional classroom settings. Students with basic computer knowledge, who can send and receive email, log into a student message board, and complete other basic tasks will be capable of completing an education of Boston University.
7. Boston Ma
   Boston, MA - August 3, 2006 - Color Kinetics Incorporated (NASDAQ: CLRK), a leading innovator of LED lighting systems and technologies, today announced its results of operations for the second quarter of 2006. Revenues were $15.5 million, an increase of 21% from the $12.9 million reported in the second quarter of 2005. Net income for the second quarter was $1.0 million or $0.05 per fully diluted share prior to non-cash charges of $613,000 associated with the FAS 123R accounting standard. 8. John Hancock Financial Services -- North America
   In its 22nd year as the major sponsor of the Boston Marathon, John Hancock Financial Services announced the entry of the world’s top three ranked women marathoners for the 111th running of the race on April 16. Olympian and American Record Holder Deena Kastor is set to compete against returning Boston Champion Rita Jeptoo and World Marathon Majors Leader Jelena Prokopcuka.
9. Newton Ma -- Garden City
   Newton does not have a single town center, but is rather a patchwork of 13 "villages", many boasting small "downtown" areas of their own. The 13 villages are: Auburndale, Chestnut Hill, Newton Centre, Newton Corner, Newton Highlands, Newton Lower Falls, Newton Upper Falls (both on the Charles River, and both once small industrial sites), Newtonville, Nonantum (... called The Lake), Oak Hill, Thompsonville, Waban, and West Newton. Oak Hill Park is a place within the village of Oak Hill that itself is shown as a village on some city maps. Although most of the villages have a post office, they have no legal definition and no firmly defined borders. 10. Joanne Woodward -- Academy Award
    Woodward received Oscar nominations for her roles in Rachel, Rachel; Summer Wishes, Winter Dreams (1973); and Mr. and Mrs. Bridge. She plays a psychiatrist to Sally Field's title character in Sybil (1976), another true story of a woman with multiple personality disorder. Woodward won Emmy awards for Do You Remember Love? (1985), in which she plays an Alzheimer's patient, and for See How She Runs (1978), in which she plays a middle-aged woman who runs in the Boston Marathon. She appeared primarily in made-for-television movies during the 1980s and 1990s.
