The Boston Celtics is a professional basketball team playing in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Basketball Association (NBA). Currently the Celtics play at the TD Banknorth Garden Arena. The team’s mascot, the leprechaun of Irish folklore, represents Boston’s Irish-American heritage.

Everybody who follows the NBA is familiar with The Boston Celtics and their great legacy in basketball. The Celtics came together as an organization in 1946 and have been a great team ever since. Boston has won 16 NBA Championships since they joined the league, far more than any other team in the NBA. From 1957-1969 The Celtics won 11 NBA Championships and totally dominated every team they played. During these years The Celtics had some great players like Bob Cousy and Bill Russell while they had the greatest coach of all time Red Auerbach leading the team to victory. K.C.
