[Best of Bond] A unique tradition of the Bond films has been their title songs. After 1963's "From Russia With Love" performed by Matt Monro, subsequent Bond films featured vocals for the beginning credit sequences (with the exception of "On Her Majesty's Secret Service"). A wide range of singers and groups have performed the title songs: Tom Jones, Nancy Sinatra, Sir Paul McCartney, Lulu, Carly Simon, Sheena Easton, Rita Coolidge, Duran Duran, a-ha, Gladys Knight, Tina Turner, Sheryl Crow, Garbage, and Madonna (while others, such as Louis Armstrong, The Pretenders, Tim Feehan, k.d. lang and Scott Walker, have performed non-title songs).

The wildly popular Bond is a British string quartet consisting of flamboyant, provocative, and immensely attractive young women with impeccable classical music pedigrees. Because sex-appeal is an important, perhaps crucial, element of Bond's public persona, critics have questioned the group's credibility. And Bond's attitude toward accepted mores have not helped matters: the young women cultivate a unabashedly sensual image, favoring seductive clothing and mannerisms, even partial nudity. In fact, when Bond proposed a nude CD cover, even its supportive record company supposedly balked, drawing cynical comments about clever marketing ploys. But to their credit, critics ... devoted some attention to Bond's music.

Polarizing critics since their 2000 inception, Bond have continued to perfect their fusion of pop, worldbeat, and classical instrumentation. Eos Chater (violin), Haylie Ecker (violin), Gay-Yee Westerhoff (cello), and Tania Davis (viola) were well-educated musically, having played their specific instruments since early childhood and accompanied acts like the Divine Comedy, Primal Scream, Embrace, and Mark Knopfler. But the quartet couldn't find a happy medium. They raised the classical world's ire with their short skirts and electronic programming, but Bond wasn't purely pop or dance either, alienating them on most sides. Born appeared Decca in early 2001, and showcased salsa, house, and European folk textures over modified classical melodies. The following year's Shine was a hit on the classical crossover charts, a place inhabited by similarly accessible artists like Josh Groban and Sarah Brightman.

Bond The energy level was at an all-time high and Bond performed a spectacular show. Having a live band and orchestra would certainly have heavily added to the ambience, but the show was still outstanding with backing tracks. Bond was able to showcase their extraordinary talents and show off their individual personalities on stage to the highest degree. Not only did the audience have incredible music and musicians, they had an abundance of fun! Go see Bond live. They are truly amazing!
[Goldfinger] : While in St. Petersburg, Bond is confronted by Xenia Onatopp in a hotel sauna. The two battle amid Xenia's shrieks of ecstasy, Bond's anguished groans and the sounds of hand-to-hand (or more appropriately body-to-body) combat. The lack of music adds considerably to the scene's tension and excitement.
