The original Bomberman is a robot forced to work at a bomb factory. He is the best bomb maker there. Bomberman starts growing bored of making bombs in a factory day in and day out. He hears a rumor that any Bomberman that makes it from the underground factory gets a wish. Bomberman, desperate to escape his job, sets out on a journey to the surface and to turn Bombermen into human bombermen, using his wish. The only thing standing in his way is the factory security guards who will do anything to keep the factory working.

Bomberman is a robot engaged in the production of bombs. Like his fellow robots, he had been put to work in an underground compound by evil forces. Bomberman found it to be an unbearably dreary existence. One day, he heard an encouraging rumor. According to the rumor, any robot that could escape the underground compound and make it to the surface could become human. Bomberman leaped at the opportunity, but escape proved to be no small task.

Bomberman for PSP has a new 3D look for the franchise. The levels are designed nicely and will randomize each time you play them. This ... means that there is the potential for bad, sometimes impossible placement of enemies. There are so many variables involved in a Bomberman game that randomization can throw you off a bit. The good thing is that everything else looks great on the PlayStation Portable's wide screen.

This newest game in the Bomberman series for mobiles takes the approach that bigger is better. Instead of spicing up the graphics or changing the gameplay, Bomberman Deluxe is just the same game you've played many times before albeit with more levels. For those few of you who have never played Bomberman before, Bomberman places you as a bombing hero who has to find his way around mazes, bombing obstacles and enemies while doing it. There are 30 levels in total, with a level boss to beat every ten levels. There are 3 modes, normal (which you can probably guess is the normal bomberman mode), Vs (which pits you against other 'bombermen') and Trophy, where you earn trophies by completing tasks.

Bomberman learns there are some elemental crystals being collected by the evil Rukifellth, and the Astral Knights, that hold the current crystals. They are missing the fire crystal which Bomberman has. It's up to Bomberman and Pommy to stop the new evil and retrieve the crystals. Along the way, he meets Lilith, a girl apparently working toward the same goal he is. He meets her on many occasions.

Bomberman was created by Phu Bui. Stephen was lounging around his house one day when he accidently dropped a bomb, he realised this could be used to defeat enemies in some sort of top view 2D game. He immediately drew the characters and began writing storylines.
